HEREFORD — Coy Marie Tice, 87, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
Celebration of life services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Bulin officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home of Hereford.
Coy was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Bromide, Okla., to Lee and Bessie Fletcher Tice. She moved to Hereford in 1959 from Lubbock. She and her sister, Barbara, co-owned and operated Buy Wise Beauty Supply for 25 years, but devoted many years of her life to being a devoted caregiver for her parents, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Culpepper and husband Jim of Hereford; three grandchildren, Jason Culpepper and wife Kristi of Amarillo, Stacy Albert and husband Scot of Coppell and Sabrina Childress and husband Cade of Corsicana; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Kovacs of Hereford and Barbara Hooser and husband P.E. of Amarillo; a brother, Bobbie Tice and wife Elaine of Lubbock; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Avenue Baptist Church, 130 N. 25 Mile Ave., Hereford, TX 79045, or King's Manor Methodist Home West Gate, 400 Ranger Drive, Hereford, TX 79045.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
