*Obituary Danny L. Vermillion
Danny Vermillion, 46, of 132 Oak St. died Tuesday morning in Baton Rouge, La. while on vacation.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bob Huffaker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford.

Mr. Vermillion was born May 12, 1943, in Muskogee, Okla. He married Linda Belmont Sept. 2, 1966, in Oklahoma. He was a Snap On Tool distributor in Hereford. He was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene where he sang in the church choir, was a lay pastor, and was a member of the Heart to Heart Sunday School Class.

Mr. Vermillion was a member of the Noon Kiwanis Club and was a charter member of the Hereford Whiteface Kiwanis Breakfast Club. He had a 20-year perfect club attendance. He was also actively involved in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. The 20-year Hereford resident moved here from Amarillo. He graduated from Chickasha High School in Chickasha, Okla. in 1961. He graduated from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, Okla. in 1965 where he had a double major in business and accounting.

Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; a son, David Vermillion of the home; a daughter, Sherry Vermillion of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Vermillion of Choctaw, Okla.; a sister, Peggy Venable of Choctaw, Okla.; his grandmother, Mrs. Bourton of Jones, Okla.; and two nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Nazarene Christian Academy, P.O. Box 2237, Hereford, Texas 79045.

The family will be at 132 Oak St.

Services for Linda Lee Belmont Vermillion, 70, former Hereford resident, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 4, 2014 at Hereford Church of The Nazarene with the Reverend Ted Taylor, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Vermillion passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas

Linda Lee Belmont was born June 11, 1944 in Pampa, TX to Dewey and Virginia McMillan Belmont and graduated from Pampa High School in 1962. She graduated from Southwestern State College of Pharmacy, Weatherford, OK. in 1967. She married Danny Vermillion at Chickasha, OK. in 1966. He preceded her in death in 1989. She moved to Hereford in 1969.

She was a retired registered pharmacist, helped start Girl Scouting in Hereford and was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene. She moved to Frisco, TX in 2003.

The family requests memorials be to the Nazarene Christian Academy, 1410 La Plata, Hereford, TX 79045.
