*Obituary De Lacy Frampton, Jr.
Graveside service for De Lacy Frampton, Jr, 89, will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Kendall Meek officiating under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.

De Lacy Frampton, Jr. passed away peacefully July 9, 2020 in Corinth, Texas.

De Lacy was born September 18, 1930 in Dalhart, Texas.

He attended McMurray College in Abilene before joining the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

De Lacy later attended Texas Technical College in Lubbock where he graduated with a degree in agriculture.

He worked as a county agent in Dawson County.

De Lacy married Evelyn Stovall February 9, 1961 in Lamesa, Texas and was a farmer in Dawson County until he retired in 1995.

De Lacy Lived out his final five years at Autumn Oaks Assisted Living Center in Corinth, Texas.

De Lacy is survived by one brother, Arlin Frampton of Denton, Texas; three children, Mark Frampton and wife, Juidanne of Rockwall, Texas, Ron Stovall and wife, Dicie of Sweetwater, Texas and Nelva Jean Thames and husband Leon of Chadler, Texas; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; granddaughter, Shasta; and 2 sisters.

Funeral Services for Evelyn Frampton, 84, of Lamesa will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2009 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lamesa with Bro. Daniel Armstrong and Carl Nunn officiating. Burial will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Evelyn Ballew Frampton passed from this life on Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Lubbock.

She was the daughter of Irvin Ballew and Madge Gibbs Ballew. She was born in Gainesville on August 13, 1925.

She married Sterling Stovall on August 7, 1942 in Yuma, Ariz. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1960.

She later married DeLacy Frampton, Jr. on February 9, 1961 at the First United Methodist Church in Lamesa.

Evelyn attended Schools in Gainesville and Lamesa. She was active in the First Methodist Church and taught a Sunday school class for 34 years from primary to the young married class. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Sparenburg until it closed.

She loved her children and grandchildren and she loved to sing with them. Her smile and vibrant personality will be missed. Evelyn was a strong woman of character and a devoted mother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, DeLacy Frampton of Lamesa; sons, Ron Stovall and wife Dicie of Sweetwater, Mark Frampton and wife Judianne of Rowlett; daughter, Jeannie Stovall Thames and husband Leon of White Bluff; and brother, Charles Bailey of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Shasta Stovall; sister, Ada Rumbaugh; and brother, Earl Ballew. The family suggests memorials to VistaCare 1717 Norfolk #A-4th Floor Lubbock, TX 79416.
