-- Services for Ouida Doty Carruth, 88, of Andrews will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 28 at the First Baptist Church in Andrews with Dr. H.A. Hanks of Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery. She died Monday, April 26, 2004 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 11, 1915 to Homer and Martha Doty in Gainesville. She graduated from Sudan High School and married Charles Carruth April 8, 1934 in Portales, N.M. They lived in Sudan, Dumas, Houston, Denver City, and moved to Andrews in 1948. She had owned and operated Carruth Trucking, Carruth-Stickney Oil Field Hauling And Steamer Service, and H & H Drilling. She was a member of the Andrews Chamber Of Commerce, Andrews Country Club, Study Club, Bridge Club and the Garden Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, a brother, a half-sister and two half-brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Kendall Robertson of Andrews; stepbrother, Wayne Doty of Sudan; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren
