Marion “Sonny” Deason, 72, of Andrews passed away in the V.A. Medical Center in Big Spring on Wednesday, March 23, 2005.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 28th, at Andrews Old Cemetery, with Richard Cooper officiating. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Born on June 15, 1932, in Austin, he moved to Andrews in 1963. He married verna Cargill on October 17, 1980 in Lovington, NM. She preceded him in death December 23, 2003.
He was a driller for many years and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Moose Lodge and the VFW. He liked to fish, hunt and play dominoes.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Brooks of Kermit; two step-sons, Russell Holmes of Burnet and Rodney Holmes of Andrews; step-daughter, Patricia Reece of Ingram, Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
