Funeral services for Margaret Freeman, 84, of Lubbock, formerly of Lamesa, will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church with Mark Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Margaret passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born May 22, 1934 in Jones County, Texas to Claude and Annie (Hudson) Wilson. She married L.D. Freeman, Jr. September 21, 1952 in Lamesa, Texas. They were married 47 years. Margaret is survived by her daughters; Linda Braswell of Lubbock, Sandra King and husband Brad of Normal, IL and Rhonda Freeman of Lubbock; grandchildren; Amber Heesch and husband Jacob, Ross Bokemeyer and wife Katie, Lindsey Wallace and husband Dan, Bryan Heald, Brandon Heald and Jake King; great-grandchildren; Emily Wood, Colt Wood, Austin Wallace and Shawn Wallace and numerous nephews and nieces. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Douglas Wilson. Margaret was a strong, beautiful, kind and amazing woman. She loved to travel, spend time with her family and had a great love for animals. The family suggests memorials to the ASPCA or a charity of your choice.
