Died: March 7, 2007, in Midland, Texas

Mary Lou White Digby, 83, of Big Spring, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Coahoma Cemetery with Rev. Doug Shelley, pastor of Eastside Baptist Church, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born on July 23, 1923, in Rockhill, Texas and married Raymond Elliott Digby on September 18, 1940 in Stanton, Texas.

Mary was raised in Coahoma. She owned and operated Mary's Cafe for several years, and then worked and retired from Montgomery Wards. She and R.E. moved to Odessa for fives years, returning to Big Spring upon R.E.'s retirement. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Raymond Elliott Digby of Big Spring; five daughters, Iwana Huckabee and husband, Jim, Vera Rhoads and husband, Gordon all of Chandler, Texas, Saundra Powers and husband, Gary of Cecilia, Kentucky, Linda McCartney and husband, Buster, and Kay Grigg all of Big Spring; two sons-in-law, Dub Grigg and Gus Phernetton both of Big Spring; 21 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Austin and Lusindy White; two daughters, Lavita Digby and Eddie Lou Phernetton; one grandson, Greg Turner; two great grandchildren, Libby Schattel and Cody Gammons; four brothers, D.A. White, R.A. White, Roland White, and Jake White; and one sister, Bertie Stocks.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, 3205 W. Cuthbert, Suite A-5, Midland, Texas 79701 or to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Desta Dr., Suite 220 E, Midland, Texas 79705.

Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
