*Obituary Bobby Eugene Dodson
Bobby Dodson, 80, of Coahoma, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his residence.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, July 20, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Coahoma.

Bobby was born January 14, 1938 in Howard County to Pauline Doyle Hopper Dodson and Carl Eugene Dodson.

He married Winnie Bobo on November 11, 1955 and she preceded him in death on September 1, 2014.

Bobby worked for Howard County, Citation Oil Co. and Sayers Operating. He retired when he was 76 years of age.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coahoma.

Bobby is survived by one son: Danny Dodson of Coahoma; one daughter: Paula Norris (David) of Greenwood; one grandson: Adam Norris (Stacey) of Odessa and three great grandchildren: McKenzie Hanson, Kelsey Hanson and David Aaron Norris, all of Odessa.

In addition to his parents and wife Winnie, he was preceded in death by a grandson Aaron Norris and a brother Ronald Dodson.

Winnie Bobo Dodson, 74, of Coahoma, died Monday, September 1, 2014 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at First Baptist Church of Coahoma with Elwin Collum, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church and Mark Winn, pastor of First Baptist Church of Coahoma, officiating. Burial will follow in Coahoma Cemetery.

Winnie was born on May 27, 1940 in Kilgore, Texas to Alma and Floyd Bobo. She married Bobby Dodson on November 11, 1955. She was a secretary at Coahoma Elementary for over 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Coahoma. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. Winnie is now at peace with her Lord and Savior and with those who were waiting for her in heaven.

She enjoyed playing Bridge, sewing, reading, working crossword puzzles. She played softball and liked to fish. Her greatest joy was being with her family and “Granny” to Adam and Aaron and their friends. She loved to watch Aaron and Adam run track, play football and any activity they were involved with.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Dodson of Coahoma; children: Danny Dodson of Coahoma and Paula Norris and husband David of Greenwood; grandchildren: Adam Norris and wife Stacey of Odessa, Aaron Norris of San Marcos; great grandchildren: McKenzie Hanson and wife Kelsey of Odessa; step-children: Lindsey Duckworth, Katy, Jeremy and John Norris all of Odessa; step-granddaughter: Jennifer Norris of Odessa; one brother: James Bobo and wife Jean of Arab, Alabama; two sisters: Betty Parrish and husband Charles of Coahoma and Jeannie Darden and husband Billy Jack of Midland and her aunt Helen Neill of Big Spring and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Bobby, Willie and Vernon Bobo and one sister Era Horn.

Pallbearers will be Adam Norris, Aaron Norris, Billy Bob Walker, James (Bub) Parrish, Taylor Parrish, Norman Hopper and Billy Joe Darden. All friends are considered honorary pallbearers.
The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church of Coahoma, Box 376, Coahoma, TX 79511 or other favorite charity.
