BIG SPRING — Services for Leone "Nannie" Townsend Bain, 94, of Big Spring will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch's Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Walter McCall officiating.

Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring.

She died Saturday, June 29, 2002, in a local nursing home.

She was born July 1, 1907, in Eastland County and married Richard Bain in 1940 in Big Spring. He died Nov. 26, 1978. She moved to Howard County as a child and worked as an aide at the Bennett house for 11 years. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Airport Baptist Church, where she kept the nursery for 35 years.

Survivors include four sons, J.T. Fulcher of Giddings, Billy David Fulcher of Midland, Albert L. Fulcher of Bowie and Richard Bain Jr. of Big Spring; three daughters, Mary L. Railsback of Luther, Merle Spurlock of Monkey Island, Okla., and Myrna Cobb of Hobbs, N.M.; two brothers, Buck Townsend of Rochester and O.G. Townsend of Joshua; four sisters, Fannie Mae Berry of McCamey, Johnnie Holland of Eagle Lake, Cleo Merworth of Comanche and Bobbie Rogers of Simms; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Odyssey Hospice, 1510 S. Gregg St., Big Spring, TX 79720.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
