Betty Baker Williamson, 90, formerly of Big Spring, TX, passed away July 21, 2019 in San Antonio, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Terry Phillips, Director of Trinity Memorial Park, officiating

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service at Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.

Betty was born October 4, 1928 in Ireland, TX to James Wilmer Ray and Bessie Mae Bailey.

Betty married Robert A. Baker February 9, 1946 in Hamilton, Texas. They moved to Big Spring in 1949 and she resided there until 2013 when she moved to Roswell, NM to live with her son and his family.

She was a devoted wife and mother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews, all had a special place in her heart.

Betty was a longtime employee of Malone Hogan Clinic.

She always had a kind word and a smile for anyone she met.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Big Spring, TX.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Robert A. Baker on December 7, 1988.

She later married Russell Williamson, May 18, 1990 and he passed away February 4, 2005.

She was also preceded in death by her younger son, Joey Glen Baker, March 13, 2015, who she loved dearly; and her brother, James W. Ray.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Baker and wife, Paula, of San Antonio, TX; daughter-in-law, Jill Baker, of Canyon Lake, TX; two sisters, Shirley Matthews, of Big Spring, TX, and Nell Thetford, of Gainesville, TX; seven grandchildren, Michelle Robinson and husband, Ben, Chris Crownover and wife, Amy , Allen Baker and wife, Amanda , Amber Baker, Jackson Baker, Jarred Baker and wife, Tina , and Jessica Barrett and husband, Will ; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials given to the Gary Phillips Athletic Memorial Scholarship fund at Forsan ISD, PO Box 689, Forsan, TX 79733.
