*Obituary Alice Joan Patterson Barrier
Alice Barrier, 73, of Big Spring, died Monday, November 1, 2010 in Grand Saline, Texas. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Myers & Smith Chapel, with Dick Demaray and Eliseo Gamboa, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born May 6, 1937 in Pueblo, Colorado to Eunice and Ellis Patterson.

She married Jim Barrier on September 29, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2000.

She had been a resident of Big Spring since 1960, coming from Raton, New Mexico.

She was a homemaker and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She is survived by one daughter: Jeanie Cunningham and her husband Earnest of Edgewood and one son Jimmie Barrier and his wife Stephanie of Big Spring; three grandchildren: Jeremy Gamboa, Brandi Sims and her husband Josh and Cassandra Bamboa; four great grandchildren: Nate Sims, Allie Sims and Drea Gamboa; all of Edgewood and Wesley Chandler of Corsicana; two sisters: Carolyn Miller of Hereford and Betty Del Sol and her husband Rob of San Diego, California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Chandler, Joe Lomas, Gary Bryant, Josh Sims, Jeremy Gamboa and Jaime Saldivar.

Arrangements/obituary are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
