Robert E. (Bob) Bassett, 80, of Levelland passed from this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Bob was born October 10, 1940 in Bend, Oregon to Charles and Edna Bassett.

He proudly served in the US Air Force and was stationed at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring, Texas. He would eventually return to Big Spring where he and his wife lived for many years. After his wife Jean passed away, Bob moved to Levelland, Texas to be near his daughter where he learned to play and love golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Bassett, Jr.; wife, Jean; daughter, Tana McIntire; and great grandson, Trey Vargas.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Sandra Almager (Benny) of Levelland; sister, Carol Hahn of Warrenton, Oregon; 6 grandchildren, Marsha Swink of Lubbock, Sarah Campos (A.J.) of Levelland, Laura Bailey (Kevin) of Lubbock, Nathan McIntire of Lubbock, Arnold Almager (Lacy) of Levelland, and John Almager (Lisa Sandoval) of Ropesville; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Krestridge Funeral Home.
