Nadine Lambright, 62, of Big Spring, died at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 16, 2004, at her home, following a nine month illness. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Saturday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Baptist Temple Church, 11th and Goliad, with Mark Winn of First Baptist Church of Sand Springs and James E. Liggett, of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Big Spring, officiating. Burial will be at Coahoma Cemetery.

She was born April 9, 1942, in Silver City, New Mexico to Altie Estell Hester Lambright and Ruben B. Lambright. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County. She graduated from Coahoma High School in 1960. She served in the U. S. Navy from 1961 until 1964 and then in the Army Reserves. She graduated from Spahn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, as an operating room technician. She later continued her education and became a certified surgical technologist. She worked in the medical field in Big Spring for almost 40 years, retiring in 2003 from Texas Surgery at Covenant Malone and Hogan Clinic. She was an active member for a number of years at First Baptist Church of Sand Springs, singing in the choir and working in the youth department. In more recent years, she had been a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Big Spring. Nadine was an avid bowler, and bowled in women's leagues for a number of years. Other hobbies included woodworking, fishing, yard work, and most of all her three poodles.

She is survived by her mother: Altie Lambright of Big Spring; life partner: Gwen Smith of Big Spring; 2 nieces: Altie Winn and her husband Mark of Sand Springs, and Barbara Reilly of Big Spring; 4 nephews: Bill Ballard and his wife Pat of Culpepper, Virginia, Tim Ballard and his wife Kim and Courtney Ballard and his wife Kelli, all of Big Spring, and Kent Ballard and his wife Tammi of Guthrie, Texas; 16 great nieces and nephews, and a special family including Laura and Wayne Kocsmar of Oklahoma, Tammy and Dale McJunkin and their sons of Lubbock, Sandra Smith and Riannon Henson, both of Midland, and Jacob Henson of Sand Springs.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one sister: Enola Myrlene Ballard.
Pallbearers will be Dale McJunkin, Skip McKenzie, Wayne Kocsmar, Jeremy Winn, John Reilly, Jacob Henson, William Reilly, and Ike Low.
