Died October 10, 1878
William Allen was born about 1827 in GA. His parents were Churchill Allen and Sarah Williamson of Troup Co. GA. In 1850 William was living in Tallapoosa Co. AL with his brother Beverly Allen and he married Mary Agnes Bradley in 1851. They moved to Linden, Cass Co. TX where he farmed and owned a general store.
Wm Allen private, Co. G, 19th Texas Infantry enlisted Oct. 10, 1863 at Daingerfield.
He died Oct. 10, 1878 according to his widow's Confederate pension application.
