Lucille Procter, 86, of Coahoma, died on Monday, February 6, 2006, in the Mitchell County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Coahoma Church of Christ with Russ Mullins, minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
The family will recieve friends Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
She was born on January 24, 1920, in Hamilton, Texas and married Tommy Procter on September 18, 1937 in Haskell, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1983.
Lucille grew up in the Hamilton and Woodson areas. She moved to Coahoma in January of 1954 from Dublin, Texas. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Big Spring State Hospital in the canteen for eleven years until she retired. Lucille enjoyed her family and friends and loved to travel. She was a member of Coahoma Church of Christ since 1954. She was baptised in the Woodson Lake in 1934.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James and Billie Procter of Big Spring; two daughters, Delores Dodson of Colorado City, and Diana Hewett of Midland; four grandaughters, Terry Lentz of Colorado City, Tommie Lentz and husband, Fred, Tammie Paige and husband, Roger of Big Spring, Karen Moore and husband, Brian of Big Spring; two grandsons, Jason Hewett of Midland, and Justin Hewett and wife, Bonnie of Keller; six great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Coahoma Church of Christ, PO Box 120, Coahoma, Texas 79511 or Medina Children's Home, 21300 State Highway 16, N, Medina, Texas 78055.
Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
