Michael Scott "Scotty" Simpson, 21, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Russell Mullins, minister of Coahoma Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
Scott was born on April 8, 1982, in Big Spring and married Angela Miller on Feb. 5, 2002, in Big Spring.
Scott worked at Rip Griffin's and O'Brien Concrete Company. He liked the outdoors, bikes, singing and joking around.
Anyone who knew Scott will miss him dearly; he touched the hearts of everyone, and would take care of anyone who needed his help. We love you and will never forget.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Simpson of Big Spring; his daughter, Skydra Lynn Simpson of Big Spring; his two sons, Eridanus Simpson of Big Spring and Scotty Simpson of Asher, Ken.; his mother, Katrina Williams of Big Spring; his father, Ralph Simpson of Asher, Ken.; his brother, Jonathan Simpson of Shelby, N.C.; his maternal grandparents, Johnie and Celia Williams of Big Spring; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robin and J. T. Waddell of Big Spring; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Pauline Williams, and his paternal grandparents, Albert and Bertha Simpson.
Pallbearers will be: Carl Wells, Jeff Nichols, Shane Gilmore, Kevin Dunlap, Raymond Overton and Bill Sneed. Honorary pallbearer will be Jonathan Miller
The family suggests memorials to the Children's Miracle Network, care of Medical Center Hospital, 500 W. 4th, Odessa 79761.
Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
