Cramer G. Thomason, 82, of Big Spring, died on Friday, February 13, 2004, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2004 at Coahoma Cemetery, Coahoma with Rev. Don Snipes, pastor of Baptist Temple Church, officiating.

He was born on March 16, 1921, in Coahoma, Texas and married Dorothy Bruton in 1978 in Stanton, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2002.

Mr. Thomason was a lifetime resident of the Big Spring area and had worked for Guthrie Oil & Gas since he was 18 years old, retiring in 1985 as a pumper.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Coahoma and a past member of the American Legion. He had served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as a pilot. He loved airplanes, flying and reminiscing about flying.

Survivors include five daughters, Kathy Cloud of Vidor, Melinda Tignor of Lexington, Tennesee, Mary Partlow and Doris Jo Walling both of Big Spring and Valoise Record of Chino, California; one son, David Cobb of Brownsville; one sister, Mildred Chambers of Lubbock; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a niece and nephew.

The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
