*Obituary Juana Hernandez Torres
Juana Torres, 93, of Big Spring passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. A vigil will be held at 7:00 PM Friday November 11, 2016 at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.

She was born March 28, 1923 to Leonor Anguiano Hernandez and Antonio Hernandez in Coahoma. She lived her lifetime in Howard County. She lived ninety-one years in Coahoma and the last two in Big Spring. She married Santos Torres on June 8, 1942. He passed away April 13, 1975. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Guadalupanas and was a Crucillista. Juana was a homemaker but also worked for over fifteen years at Lil Sooper in Coahoma.

Juana is survived by one daughter: Beatrice Padron of Ft. Worth; three sons: Eddie Torres and wife Micki of Mansfield, Henry Torres and wife Nell of Watauga and Alberto Torres and wife Leticia of Big Spring; three brothers: Arturo Hernandez of Big Spring, Ignacio Hernandez of Big Spring and Joe Hernandez of Coahoma; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Alex Torres; five brothers: Manuel Hernandez, Emilio Hernandez, Guillermo Hernandez, Julio Hernandez and Apolonio Hernandez and two sisters: Beatriz Hernandez and Santiaga Ramirez.
