Lelia Belle Woodson, age 89, of Temple formerly of Odessa died Sunday, November 19, 2006 in a local hospital. Services and burial will be held at a later date
Mrs. Woodson was born January 27, 1917 in Coahoma, Texas to Houston Franklin and Laura Alice Echols Crocker. She was reared and educated in Coahoma and had been a longtime resident of Odessa. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa and was the Queen Mother of the Temple Meridian Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Paul Woodson and her son, Ronnie Woodson. Survivors include her daughter, Paula L. Brewer and husband, Bill of Houston, brother, Bo Crocker of Yuma, Arizona and sister, Nell DeMasters of Temple. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Gene Woodson of California, Leesa McClure of Odessa, Nicky Brewer of Houston and seven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
