Roy F. Bell
Rites Monday

Services for Foy F. (Red) Bell, 66, resident of Big Spring for 45 years, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Nalley-Pickle Rosewood Chapel. Interment will be in Trinity Memorial Park. The Rev. Robert F. Polk of First Baptist Church, will officiate.

Mr. Bell, a veteran of World War I, died in a local hospital at 3:10 p.m. Friday after a relatively brief illness. He had entered the hospital for surgery a few days ago.

He lived at 112 E. 17th Street and was widely known as a coin collector. He held Charter Member No. 1 rating in the Big Spring Coin Club and, until three years ago when he retired, he operated a coin store.

He was born in Owensboro, Ky., Feb. 10, 1899. He moved here from Akron, Ohio, in 1921. He was associated for a time with his brother and father in the operation of a fruit and vegetable business.

Later he built and operated the Ranch Inn Motel on the West Side of town. He sold this in 1948 and engaged in residential construction. In 1952 he opened a grocery in the west part of town. Another activity he pursued was raising Chinchillas. Mr. Bell was a member of the Macadonia Baptist Church of Macadonia, Ky.

Survivors are his wife, Ginger, and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Billings, Big Spring.

Pallbearers are to be Harvey Hooser Jr., Darrell Shortes, W. V. (Bill) O'Neal, Bill Reed, W. E. Wozencraft and Orbin Daily.
