Rosary service for Mariano G. Zertuche, 64, of Lubbock and formerly of Plainview will be 7 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2006, in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Resurrection Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Lawrence Hemp officiating. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery and under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Mariano died Saturday, March 4, 2006. He was born Jan. 8, 1942 in Coahuila, Mexico. Mariano became a U.S. citizen, Oct. 12, 1989.
He immigrated to the U.S. to San Antonio in 1955. He had also lived in Wisconsin before moving to Plainview in 1988 and returned to Lubbock in 2005. He was employed with Panhandle Plains Cotton Compress.
Mariano is survived by his brothers, Arturo Zertuche of Slaton, Pedro and Jose Armando Zertuche both of San Antonio; sisters, Esperanza Rocha and Delia Perez both of Slaton; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
