From THE SWEETWATER REPORTER:

Joe Max Zetzman, 49, of Sweetwater died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in the Lamar Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Clifton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, in the funeral home.

He was born on March 10, 1955, in Sweetwater. He married Rhonda Porter on Oct. 2, 1977. He was a graduate of Sweetwater High School and was a member of the basketball team. He attended Texas Tech and TSTC and received two associate degrees. He attended Boys State and was active with the Boy Scouts. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He lived in Sweetwater all of his life. He was an auto mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Zetzman of Sweetwater; two daughters, Amanda Zetzman and Ashley Zetzman, both of Sweetwater; one son, Joe Max Zetzman Jr. of Sweetwater; his mother, Shirley Zetzman of Sweetwater; one brother, Robby Zetzman and wife, Deann, of San Angelo; and three sisters, Sharon Zetzman-Sparks of Sweetwater, Vicki Zetzman Lester of Abilene and Debbie Terry and husband, Mike, of Roby.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Max Zetzman, on March 12, 2002.
