LaVerne Berger, 79, of Big Spring, died on Friday, June 28, 2002, in Amarillo. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, July 1, 2002, at Trinity Memorial Park with Dr. Claude Craven, a retired Baptist minister, officiating.
She was born on September 26, 1922 in Childress, Texas.
She married Raymon Pollard in 1951 and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1970. She then married John Lacy Berger in 1974 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1977.
She had owned and operated The House of Crafts in Big Spring for 21 years.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include one brother, Jimmy Phillips of Texas; two sisters-in-law, two nieces, two nehpews, two great-nieces, three great-nephews and many friends.
There will a gathering of friends on Sunday evening from 6 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
