*Obituary
Orville Steve Brant, 57, of Big Spring, Texas, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 8, 2011 at Trinity Memorial Park.

He was born on June 16, 1953, in Big Spring, Texas and married Carla York on May 4, 2010 in Big Spring.

Steve was raised here and graduated from Coahoma High School. He worked for International Paper in York, Pennsylvania before returning to Big Spring in September 2006. He was a Christian and had served in the United States Air Force.

Steve was a wonderful husband and brother. He was a musician and loved to play his guitar and sing rock and roll music.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Brant of Big Spring; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Melanie Guinn of Lubbock; one step daughter, Janis Bushman of Billings, Montana; one brother, Billy Brant of Wataga; one sister, Lydia Reece of Big Spring; two step grandchildren, Riley Thompson and Gregg Bushman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Flora Brant; one brother, Joe Brant and one sister, Sandra Thompson.

Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
