Charles William "C.W." Brumley, 85, of Colorado City, died on Friday, April 8, 2011, in a Big Spring nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Westbrook Baptist Church, Westbrook, with Rev. Terry White, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring.

He was born on March 12, 1926 in Remiel, Arkansas and married Betty Jo Cottongame on May 17, 1947 in Big Spring. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2008.

C.W. was a longtime resident of Big Spring. He worked as production manager for Dr. Pepper Bottling Company and then for WesTex Telephone retiring in 1991. He was a member of Westbrook Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He loved his pet, Buster.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Vickie Thompson of Big Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and John Hillje of Alpine; one sister, Thelma Ditto of Big Spring; two brothers, James Brumley of Gatesville and Charles Brumley of Rule; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Brumley; one daughter, Christene Brumley; and three brothers, Ed Brumley, Buster Brumley and Bobby Brumley.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Big Spring, Texas, or a charity of your choice.
