Mary Lou Brumley, 87, of Big Spring, died Thursday, February 17 2022.

Visitation will be Wednesday 9 AM until 9 PM with family receiving friends from5 PM until 7 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Thursday at 2 PM at Trinity Memorial Park.

Mary was born on February 25, 1934 in O'Donnell, Texas to Viola Gladys and David Vernon Rucker.

She was a lifetime resident of Howard County and was a Baptist.

Mary loved to sew, quilt making and she made clothes for dolls.

She loved to dance and play pool.

She was a loving mother and enjoyed raising her three sons.

She was a caregiver working at the State Hospital, Hall Bennett, & Mountain View Lodge.

Mary is survived by 3 sons: Johnny Brumley (Teresa) of Big Spring, David Brumley (Kristy) of Big Spring, & Bobby Brumley of Big Spring; 1 granddaughter: Sherrie Thompson of Big Spring; 4 great grandchildren: Michael Shuburt of San Diego, Lesilie Ann Shuburt of Abilene, Ashley Smith (Jonathan) of Big Spring, & Corin Slater of Graham.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents: David & Viola Rucker; her husband: Bobbie Brumley; and 1 granddaughter: Elesha Shuburt.
