BIG SPRING - J. Weldon Bryant, 91, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park.

Mr. Bryant was born Nov. 20, 1913, in Gorman. He married J. Juanita Wilkerson on Aug. 9, 1974, in Ruidoso, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick Shortes of San Antonio and David Shortes of Odessa; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, 705 W. FM 700, Big Spring, TX 79720.

J. Juanita Bryant, 84, of Big Spring, Texas went to be with the Lord December 4, 2012.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Doris Haynes, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born in Loraine, Texas, December 1, 1928, to Clem and Cora Wilkerson.

She married the love of her life, J. Weldon Bryant August 9, 1974 and both were faithful members of First Baptist Church in Big Spring, where she sang in the senior adult choir.

Juanita worked at First National Bank until retirement. She was the picture of love, generosity, and kindness and could light up a room with her presence.

Juanita was preceded in death by her siblings, Agnes Altom, Herman Wilkerson, Fred and Ed Wilkerson, and Opal Mealer, all of Big Spring, Leonard (Tutor) Wilkerson of San Angelo, and Dorothy Miller of Dickinson, Texas and her husband, J. Weldon Bryant.

She is survived by two loving sons, David Shortes of Odessa and Rickey Shortes of San Antonio; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and many other beloved friends and family members.
