Harold "Sug" Cain, 85, of Bedford, formerly of Big Spring, died Monday, August 15, 2016 in a Bedford hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Craig Rhoton officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

He was born June 12, 1931 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and married Mary Sewell June 1, 1952 in Big Spring, Texas.

Harold graduated from Big Spring High School in 1948 and attended New Mexico State University. He served in the United States Army as a Corporal from 1952 to 1954, serving in Germany. He worked for Cosden Oil and Chemical for 38 years, retiring as maintenance supervisor.

Harold was a member of East Fourth Street Baptist Church for over 75 years and served as a deacon for over 50 years.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Cain; a daughter, Tanga Cain Chapman and husband, Steve; two grandchildren, James Cade Chapman and John Kyle Chapman; a sister, Virginia Cain Tucker all of Bedford; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Audrey Gillispie Cain.

The family suggests memorials to East Fourth Street Baptist Church, 410 E. 3rd St., Big Spring, Texas 79720.
