Wilma Edna Walker Holley Cashion, 85, a resident of the Big Spring area for over 80 years and lifetime member of Salem Baptist Church went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Briarcliff Health Center of Greenville, Texas. Visitation will be at Myers & Smith Funeral Home, Big Spring, Texas, on Wednesday, December 29, 2010at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Park with her Grandson-In-Law, Gregory Lee, officiating.

Mrs. Cashion was born on July 22, 1925 to Mack Willis Walker and Edna Jane Graham Walker, in Howard County, Texas and married Wiley Henderson Holley on August 10, 1943. Wilma and Wiley had four sons, Gene, Glen, Charles ("Tooter") and Gary, and one daughter, Jan. They lost young Tooter as an infant and Wiley passed away in September, 1960.

With determination, the help of fine family and a "can-do" attitude, Wilma raised her young family as an Avon representative for many years. In 1966, Wilma was blessed with love again and married Omar L. Cashion and gained, LaDonna, her step-daughter and the Hanners, another fine family that she loved dearly. Wilma and Omar had great love for each other that was incredible to watch.

Omar passed away in 1999 and Wilma's health began to decline. Even though her body was failing, she spent her last years trying to keep her mind active by putting together the most challenging and often uniquely-shaped puzzles and working word search books. Every nurse and caregiver loved her to distraction and loved her smile. She was the sweetest of patients. No matter how bad she felt, she was always "fine."

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Max and Edna Jane Graham Walker; husbands, Wiley Henderson Holley and Omar Lionel Cashion; her son, Charles Wayne ("Tooter") Holley; and her brother, Grady Max Walker.

Wilma is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Marion Walker of Big Spring, Texas; sister-in-law, Doris Hanners, of King Fisher, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Carolyn Holley of Wolfe City, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Kaye Holley of Big Spring, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Debbie Holley of Forney, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Richard Jackson of Angleton, Texas; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, LaDonna and David Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; eight grandsons; one granddaughter;one step-grandson; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews in the Walker, Holley, Gladson, Cashion and Hanners families. John 3:16
