Chris Castanuela 27 of Big Spring died Sunday January 1, 2012 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.

He was born March 16, 1984 in Stamford, Texas. He worked as a driller for oil companies including Basic, Patterson, Nabors and Robinson. He lived most of his life in Big
Spring.

He is survived by: his mother Ollie Castanuela of Big Spring; father Manuel Castanuela of Melvin; wife Veronica Hernandez of Big Spring; four brothers: Rickey Haggard of Buda, Manuel Castanuela of Odessa, Jeff Haggard, Aaron DeLeon; and Anthony DeLeon; all of Big Spring;grandmother: Vernia Haley of Big Spring; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews including Sharon Olivas of Big Spring.

He was preceded in death by one brother Jason Castanuela; grandparents Douglas Randall, Josephina and Jesus Castanuela. Obituary Myers and Smith Funeral Home.

Vernia Haley, 89, of Big Spring passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at her residence.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, September 5, 2016 at Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor Abner Razon officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born November 22, 1926 to Lydia Ann Kooken Atkins and William Claud Atkins in Mountain view, Oklahoma.

Vernia married Clarence Douglas Randall. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1962.

She has lived in Big Spring for over twenty-five years and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist.

Vernia is survived by four daughters: Becka Fenwick and husband Wesley of Scottsdale, Arizona, Rosalea Davis of Telluride, Colorado, Sharon Olivas and husband Lupe of Big Spring and Ollie Castanuela of Big Spring; one son: Bill Randall and wife Rosalyn of Jal, New Mexico; two sisters: Jeania Mae Triska and husband Raymond of Buckeye, Arizona and Minnie Pearl King and husband Jim of Riverside, California; twenty-seven grandchildren; fifty-four great grandchildren and twenty-two great-greatgrandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Claudia Randall; one son: Fred Randall and one grandson: Christopher Castanuela.
