Irma Chapa, 56, of Big Spring, died Monday, December 28, 2020.

Viewing and visitation will be Monday, January 4, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.

Irma was born on July 13, 1964 in Merced, CA.

She married Vidal Chapa, Jr. on February 11, 1993 in Edinburg.

She lived in Big Spring 26 years and was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She was a great grandmother, mother, sister, and wife.

She was strong and loved by many people.

The eldest of four sisters, she loved spending time with family and was very family-oriented.

She was also dedicated to her religion.

She loved shopping and getting her hair and nails done.

She enjoyed the holidays, as well.

She loved her cat, "Rocky".

She is survived by her husband: Vidal Chapa, Jr.; two sisters: Leticia Dominguez and husband Felipe and Marisa Barrientes and husband Fortunato; two daughters: Maria Canales and husband Lee and Ashley Barrientes and wife Kristina; two sons: Joe Barrientes and wife Carolina and Joshua Chapa; five grandchildren: Nathaniel Barrientes, Marcus Barrientes, Jace Burdett, Logan Canales, and Kyson Barrientes.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Maria and Eliseo De La Garza; and one sister: Sandra Ramirez.
