Monica Rodriguez Chavez, 69, of Big Spring, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the Hospice House of Odessa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
A vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
She was born May 4, 1943, in Big Spring, Texas and married Andres Chavez January 2, 1971 in Big Spring.
A lifetime resident of Big Spring, Monica had owned the Circle of Beauty Salon and then began working at the Beauty Realm. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
Survivors include her husband, Andres Chavez of Big Spring; a son, Chris Chavez of Big Spring; a daughter, Stacey Chavez of Big Spring; two sisters, Leonon Sotelo of Big Spring and Alexandra Barrios of Lenorah; and two brother, Ray Rodriguez of El Paso and Gavino Rodriguez, Jr. of Big Spring.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Eulalo Rodriguez.
