*Media Obituary*Ivan "Red" Conard, 74, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2004, in a Midland hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Rev. Ken McMeans, pastor of College Baptist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

He was born on February 28, 1930, in Cisne, Illinois and married Mary Anne Vaughan on March 25, 1955 in Cisne.Mr. Conard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Texaco Inc. for 35 years retiring in December 1990. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Conard of Big Spring; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Alan Hollandsworth and Peggy and Rusty McAdams all of Big Spring; eight sisters, Weta Forth, Elma Jones, Mary Reed and Eileene Krutsinger all of Flora, Illinois, Norma Bunting and Reba Rodgers both of Fairfield, Illinois, Betty Rodgers of Cisne, Illinois, and Maxine Bennett of Eldridge, Alabama; two brothers, Russell Conard and Loren Conard both of Fairfield, Illinois; five grandchildren, Coley and Cade Hollandsworth and Kourtney and Kaleb McAdams all of Big Spring, and Kelli McAdams of Odessa. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. The family suggests memorials be made to College Baptist Church, 1105 Birdwell Lane, Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
