Lonnie R. Conn, 60, of Big Spring died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, in an Abilene hospital.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Myers & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Trinity Memorial Park.

He was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Texarkana and was a longtime resident of Big Spring.

An Air Force veteran, he was employed by Montgomery Ward Company for 33 years and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Cora Conn of Big Spring; two daughters, Janice Turner and Cindy Turner-Vaughn, both of Big Spring; his mother, Georgia Buttram of Texarkana, Ark.; four sisters, Jo Smith, Ruth Sellars, Sheila Patterson and Regina Jeane, all of Texarkana, Ark.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Cora Beth Overton Conn, 74, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at her residence. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Thursday in the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born October 15, 1940 in Big Spring to Fannie Louriena (Boyd) and James Jewel Overton.

She grew up in Glasscock County and graduated from Garden City.

She married Gilbert "Aggie" Turner in 1958 in Big Spring. They were married 17 years and were blessed with two daughters.

She later married Lonnie Ray Conn on June 29, 1976 in Lovington, New Mexico and he died on January 10, 1997.

She had worked several years at the Big Spring Herald.

She spent much of her life as a caregiver to parents and other family members.

She loved her cats, yardwork and anything out doors.

She loved riding with Lonnie on the touring bike all over United States and into Canada.

She had been a lifetime resident of Howard County and was a Baptist.

She is survived by two daughters: Janice Garrett and husband John and Cindy Turner-Vaughn and husband Mackie, all of Big Spring; two grandchildren: Jeramy McCuistion and wife Karen of San Angelo and Jessica Black and husband Colt of Sweetwater; four great grandchildren: Karley Black of Sweetwater, Connor McCuiston and Ashton McCuiston, both of San Angelo and Tyler Black of Sweetwater and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband and her children's father, she was preceded in death by one sister Ruby Pike and three brothers: Maurice Overton, Raymond Overton and Glen Overton.
