*Obituary

Saturnino R. Urias, of Lubbock, departed this life on April 30, 2008, at the age of 83 years. He was born on Nov. 29, 1924 to Jose and Sara (Rojas) Urias in Seguin, Texas. Saturnino married Audelia Vega on April 22, 1981, in San Antonio. He is a veteran and served in World War II in the Army Air Corp. Mr. Urias moved from San Antonio to Lubbock in 1983, where he was a sheet metal worker for Kelly AFB until his retirement. He was a member of Christ the King Cathedral and the Maggie Trejo Senior Citizens Center.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Audelia; ten daughters, Sara Gonzalez and husband, Roman, Mary Alice DeLaVega and husband, Steve, Rosemary Gonzales and Rose Martinez, Linda Aguirre and husband, Robert, all of San Antonio, Azalea Alvarado and husband, Carlos, Leticia Mata, both of Lubbock, Diana Rivera of N.C., Cynthia Rangel and husband, Jose, of San Antonio, Maurine Casillas, of Corpus Christi, and Liz Johnson, of San Antonio; one son, Joe Urias and fianc?, Lorena, of San Antonio; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Eluteria Ybanez, of Calif., Lucia Pena, of Victoria, and Socorro Vargas, of Calif.; and four brothers, Elocadio Urias of W.V., Leova Urias, Joe Urias, both of Calif., and Carlos Urias, of Ariz.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Alberta Ferdin; and three brothers, Anastacio, Desidoro, and Amador.
