Billy Don Hutchens, 65, of Goree, Texas, died Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007, at the Goree First Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Denton and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating.

Burial will be in the Goree Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas. Visitation will be Friday 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home for family and friends.

Mr. Hutchens was born September 6, 1942, in Goree, Texas. He was a lifetime resident of Goree, a member of the Goree First Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Mary Martinez on June 20, 1964, in Goree, Texas. She died February 10, 1986, and he married Mary Lewis on February 18, 1989, in Goree, Texas.

Survivors: wife, Mary Hutchens of Goree, Texas; two daughters, Pamela Lawson of Levelland, Texas, and Stacy Westbrook of Shallowater, Texas; one son, Billy Jay Hutchens of Graham, Texas; one step-daughter, Cathy Cooper of Euless, Texas; two sisters, Glenda Arant of Lubbock, Texas, and Mary O'Dell of Woodson, Texas; five brothers, Lewis Wayne Hutchens of Gorman, Jerry Lynn Hutchens of Mission, David Lee Hutchens of Petrolia, Gary Kirk Hutchens of Cisco and Richard Dean Hutchens of Seymour, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
