*Obituary Edward Cruz
Edward Cruz, born November 22, 1916 in Brownsville, TX, peacefully embraced God July 19, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Kerrville, TX. Ed faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force through World War II where he was an ace gunner on a B-25 strafer, in Korea and in Vietnam. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1971 with 30 years of service. After retirement Ed served his community of Big Spring for years as a volunteer until his wife became homebound. His hearty laugh and fun-loving nature uplifted anyone who came in contact with him.

Ed is survived by two children, a son, F. Edward Cruz and wife, Jean; and a daughter, Marie Christine Jones; a granddaughter, Syndie Solis; two grandsons Ethan (Ryan) Cruz, and Brandon (Dina) Cruz; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Cruz and a great-grandson, Tino Cruz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and 3 wives.

Funeral services will be held at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
