Bill R. Davis, 88, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Big Spring, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at a hospice facility in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

He was born October 16, 1927 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas and married Shirley M. West March 21, 1969 in Big Spring, Texas. She preceded him in death April 30, 2012.

Bill lived most of his life in Howard County.

He served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1946 to 1949.

He worked for Cosden Oil and Chemical for 33 years, retiring as a complex operator.

He was member of Staked Plains Lodge #598 A. F. & A. M. and the BPO Elks #1386.

He was also a Methodist.

Bill enjoyed fishing and reading.

Survivors include three daughters, Reba Williams and Robyn Flowers and husband, Larry all of Wichita Falls, and Janet Somers and husband, Frank of Big Spring; one brother, W. H. "Son" Davis of Big Spring; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by parents, William and Lula White Davis; one brother, Talmer White; two sisters, Edna Jones and Margaret Keller; and a grandson, John Sterling Williams.
