Rodolfo “Rudy” De Leon, Jr., 86, of Big Spring, died Sunday, November 22, 2020. Viewing and visitation will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2020 with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Rudy was born on October 12, 1934 in Big Spring. He married Josie De Leon on December 14, 1955 in Big Spring. He lived his entire life in Big Spring. He worked for Stripling for 30 years. He then worked for the county as head of maintenance for 20 years. He was a devoted Catholic. Rudy was a really hard worker. He loved attending church. He enjoyed the casinos. He loved being around family. He was in the men’s organization Holy Name Society with Sacred Heart. He is survived by two daughters: Janel Ortiz and her husband David of Big Spring and Rosella Munoz and her husband Robert of Big Spring; four grandsons: Rudolph Munoz of San Antonio, Justin Franco of Cedar Park, Adrian De Leon of Big Spring, and Rene De Leon of Big Spring; three granddaughters: Jennifer De Leon of Big Spring, Ashley Paredez of Big Spring, and Marisol Ortiz of Big Spring; and seven great grandchildren: Rylee Logston, Paisynn Munoz, Lilliana Franco, Aubrielle De Leon, Adrian De Leon, Jr., Anaiyah Shortes, and Axel Perez. He was preceded in death by his wife: Josie De Leon; his daughter: Janet De Leon; and his parents: Rodolfo and Guadalupe De Leon. Pallbearers will be Mario De Leon, Ben De Leon, Rene De Leon, Jeff Leal, Martin Anguiano, and Rudolph Munoz. Josephine "Josie" De Leon, 77, of Big Spring passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2017, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Myers and Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Josie was born on Feb. 3, 1939, in El Paso, Texas, to Enedina Roldan Fierro and Jose Fierro.

She married Rodolfo "Rudy" De Leon on Dec. 14, 1956, in Big Spring.

She has been a lifetime resident of Big Spring and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Rodolfo "Rudy" De Leon of Big Spring; three daughters, Rosella Munoz and husband Robert of San Antonio, Janet De Leon of Big Spring, and Janel Ortiz and husband David, also of Big Spring; two sisters, Belen Alvarez and husband George of Garland, and Nina Wood and husband David of Big Spring; one brother, John Fierro and wife Juanita of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Rudolph Munoz of San Antonio, Adrian De Leon, Ashley Paredez, Jennifer De Leon, Justin Franco, Rene De Leon, and Marisol Ortiz, all of Big Spring; and five great-grandchildren, Riley Logsdon of Big Spring, Paislynn Munoz of San Antonio, Aubrielle De Leon, Adrian De Leon Jr., and Lilliana Franco, all of Big Spring.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Rudolph Munoz, Justin Franco, Adrian De Leon, Rene De Leon, Eddie De Leon, and Jeff Leal.

Arrangements are by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
