Bill Gross, 68, longtime resident of Andrews, died Sunday at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa after a brief illness. He was born March 3, 1923, in Seymour. He married Betty Turner Jan. 24, 1955, in Lovington, N.M.
Gross moved to Andrews in 1947 from Seagraves. He was owner and operator of Bill's Garage. He was a mechanic. He was a Baptist and a member of the Andrews Fire Department.
Survivors included his wife; two sons, James Jones of An¬drews and Marvin Jones of Henderson; four daughters, Claudia Helms and Geraldine Helms, both of Odessa; Wanda Edmiston of Eldorado and Diane Page of San Angelo; five brothers, J.B. Gross, Wesley Gross, Leslie Gross, Lester Gross and Lonnie Gross, all of Andrews; a sister, Evelyn Bonham of Kermit; 17 grandchildren; and three great¬ grandchildren.
