Connie Harvick, 89, of Andrews passed away Monday April 28, 2014 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Connie was born March 6, 1925 in Tahoka, Texas to Claude and Rosemary Conway.
In 1944, Connie met a young man named Delbert Harvick and after only two dates with his, she drove all the way from west Texas to Stockton, California and married him. They moved to Andrews in 1969 from Odessa. In 1978 they started Harvick Insurance Agency along with their daughter CJ Haggard. Delbert preceded him in death in 1987 and she and CJ continued to run the agency until they sold the business and retired. Connie toughly enjoyed her retirement too; she went on cruses and loved to take trips to Las Vegas and West Wendover, NV. Connie enjoyed reading cook book and collecting all sorts of things. Connie had a great since of humor and a unique since of style but most of all; she really enjoyed her life and her family.
Along with her husband Connie was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Harvick; her parents, her brother C.W. Conway and her sister Mary Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, C.J. Haggard of Andrews; grandson, Jay Haggard and his wife Christine of Lubbock, step- grandchildren; Brian Haggard and Briana Haggard and great-grandson, Ian "Spud" Haggard of Lubbock.
The family will receive friends Friday May 9, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at McNett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 Friday May 9, 2014 at Andrews Old Cemetery
