*Obituary Zelna Kay Prater Mitchell
Zelna Kay Mitchell, 80, of Andrews passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her sons home in Andrews.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, April 2, 2012 at McNett Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Second Baptist Church in Andrews. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Kay was born December 20, 1931 in Vealmoor, Texas to James and Bertha Prater. She married Jimmie Mitchell August 18, 1950 in Andrews, and they continued to live in Andrews except for three years in the early 1960s. She enjoyed making Dolls and knitting and she liked to crochet. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and she was a great homemaker. She enjoyed painting and writing poetry.

Kay also liked to take an occasional trip to a casino with her twin sister Zelma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jimmie Mitchell, and five sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny Ray Mitchell of Bloomington, Texas; Ronny Mitchell and Monte Mitchell both of Andrews; Sister Zelma Stafford of Rankin, Texas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
