Mae Mitchell, 85, of Odessa and formerly of Andrews passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in Odessa.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a graveside service at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the Andrews Old Cemetery with Rev. Rick Doyle, officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM – 1 PM on Saturday at McNett Funeral Home. Please celebrate her life by visiting www.mcnettfuneralhome.com.

Mae was born on March 26, 1933 in Regina, New Mexico to James Martin Lard and Zilpha Ruby Fishgrab Lard. She married Ocie Orvil Mitchell on May 17, 1952 in Aztec, New Mexico. They moved to Andrews in 1953 from Stamford and then to Odessa in 2013. She had worked at Andrews Nursing Center, Kirby West, Andrews Cleaners. She enjoyed reading, baking pies, cooking, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a past member of Northcrest Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 6, 1988, her parents, son, Rodney Mitchell on February 14, 2000, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Mae is survived by her son, Troy and Debbie Mitchell; grandchildren, Brandon Mitchell, Shiloh and Anthony Klein, Jeremy Mitchell, Ezra Grigsby, Amanda and Tim Bowen, Holly Mitchell, Amber and Daniel Moran, Matthew and Jaimee Mitchell, and Lucas and Nadja Mitchell; and numerous great grandchildren.
