*Obituary Helen Naciuk Rigdon
Helen N. Rigdon, longtime resident of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008. She was born January 28, 1931 in Mannville, Alberta, Canada to Nykoly (Nick) and Annie Naciuk. Natives of the Ukraine, the Naciuks immigrated to Canada where Helen was born.

Helen and Bob met in St. Paul Alberta Canada where Bob was working in the oil fields and Helen was employed at the local bank. Bob brought Helen to West Texas and they were married January 29, 1951. They were married 47 years before Bob's passing in July 1998. She never lost her Ukrainian roots and went on vacations at every chance to Canada.

She learned to sew in Andrews and developed her interior decorating business from her natural talent and eye for detail. She left her mark in the drapery and decorating business in numerous Banks, hospitals, schools and homes in Andrews and thru out the state of Texas. Helen was a volunteer with the Pink Ladies at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews as well a member of the Andrews Church of Christ.

After retiring, both Helen and Bob loved to travel in their RV joining the Snow Birds on the road all over the United States and Canada especially loving their trips to Rockport.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Nick (Mike) and William (Bill) Naciuk. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Stella and Steve Gordy of Vermillion, Alberta, Canada. Also, the Naciuk families of Mannville and Edmonton Alberta Canada along with many beloved nieces and nephews there in Canada.

Helen's family included, Bobby and wife Dollie of San Antonio, Texas, Jerry and wife Becky of Midland Daughters Cindy Delaporte and Son-in-law Jack of California and Tina and husband Terry Stevens of Andrews. Grandchildren include Jimmy and Joretta Rigdon and their mother JoLynn of Seminole, Texas, Andrea and Alesha Rigdon of San Antonio. Great Grandchildren Sydney and Journey of San Antonio. Step-grandchildren Charlie and Billy Bodin of San Antonio Brad Stevens of San Angelo, and Tierney Hamilton of Odessa, Texas.

Her extended family includes Richard, Kathy and Deborah of the Vernard (Cleon) Rigdon family as well as the surviving members of the Garner Family of Big Spring and across the state of Texas.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2008 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. John Snider, pastor of Greenwood Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
