Jo Ann King, 66, of Sweetwater died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, in Sweetwater.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, in the Broadway Baptist Church with the Rev. David Chittenden officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. in the Double Mountain Cemetery in Peacock.

Services will be under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

Mrs. King was born on July 27, 1940, in Aspermont. She married Kenneth "Pete" King Sr. on Nov. 23, 1957, in Peacock. Mrs. King was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church and a housewife. She lived in Sweetwater since 1960, moving from Aspermont.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth L. King Jr. and his wife, Myra, of Roby, and Terry W. King and his wife, Kim, of Sweetwater; four sisters, Louise Cornejo of Edna, Iva J. Roberts of Coahoma, Olla Mae Roberts of Hamilton and Patsy Jean Day of Snyder; eight grandchildren, Cory King and Monica King, both of Amarillo, Memorie Fazio and her husband, Sam, of South Korea, Levi King of Sweetwater, Kasey Lindsey and her husband, Josh, of Maryneal, Kody King of Roby, Justin Davidson of Merkel and Ashley Keen of Fresno, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Arissa King and Braden Haygood, both of Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Pete" King Sr., on Sept. 1, 1994; a daughter, Sarah Lee King, on Sept. 13, 1960; and three brothers.
