Reynaldo "Randy" Valdez Jr., 36, of Lubbock departed this life Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Lubbock. He was born Dec. 24, 1966, in Lubbock to Reynaldo "Rene" Sr. and Shirley Reyna Valdez. He graduated from Estacado High School and was a lifelong resident of Lubbock.
He was a general laborer and a member of First Latin Foursquare Gospel Church. Those left to mourn his passing include his parents, both of Lubbock; paternal grandmother, Pilar Valdez of Lubbock; two sons, Mario Michael Gomez and Reynaldo Diamond Valdez III, both of Lubbock; three daughters, Kristel Denise Valdez, Kimberly Deann Valdez, and Kyrah Dawn Valdez, all of Lubbock; a brother, Raymond Edward Valdez of Lubbock; and four grandchildren. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at First Latin Foursquare Gospel Church, 924 34th St., with Rev. Jesus Martinez officiating.
