Tommy was born on November 16, 1942 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Beryl and Noma Beck Six. After residing in various locations with his family in southern Oklahoma, Tommy would ultimately end up on the Texas side of the border and graduate from Burkburnett High School in Burkburnett, Texas, in 1960. Burkburnett High School was also where he would begin dating Joyce Louise Frields and after graduation would marry his high school sweetheart in 1962. They would welcome a son, Damon Mark, in 1966 and a daughter, Kristi Lynn, in 1970. After graduating high school, Tommy went to work in the oilfields, primarily as a welder, a profession in which he would continue until near retirement. He worked for several oil and gas companies during his long years of employment but his longest tenure and the company from which he retired from was with Mobil Pipeline. It was due to this work that he and his family made their move to West Texas where, after brief tenures in Seminole and Andrews, Tommy would settle his family in their current location, 10 acres of countryside outside Midland, Texas, in 1973. His job took him many different places not just within Texas, but within the United States and international as well. Notable international job postings included Libya in 1968, Nigeria in 1970-71, as well as spending 9 years in Saudi Arabia after moving the family to Midland. Tommy was a natural outdoorsman and enjoyed getting away for a weekend or longer for hunting or fishing trips, especially his time he and Joyce got to spend two summers working at a hunting and fishing lodge At Skyline Lodge in Platoro, Colorado. Studying the mechanics of gun maintenance was also a favorite hobby and he was an avid gun owner. His greatest joys derived from family, though. His love for his wife Joyce endured, even when life was a struggle. They divorced and then remarried a few years later in 1989, reaffirming their love. Losing her to illness in December 2003 was a cause of great sorrow. He took pride in his children and provided steadfastly supported them as they found their way forward in life. Tommy had a renewed sense of joy with the birth of his grandchildren and provided a father figure to Kaylee Renee and Kyle Korell, both of whom knew him as their beloved Pop.

Tommy is survived by his son, Damon Six and his wife Rungthip; daughter, Kristi Six; grandchildren, Kaylee Renee Korell, Kyle Thomas Korell; step-grandchildren; Ton Tantrakun and wife Nan, Tong Tantrakun; great grandchild, Chishaya Tantrakun; brother, Barry Six and wife Sheila; sister, Pamela Six; nephews, Christopher Six, Steve Six, Clay Crawford, Steven Hulin; nieces, Kindall Crawford, Stacy Hulin-Dore; great nephews, Liam Michael Dore, Raymond Quinn Dore; great niece, Emmerson Elizabeth Dore, Alese Six and Cayden Hulin.
