Mary Smith, 85 of Andrews, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews, Texas.

Mary was born June 7, 1925 in Brazos County, Texas to Percy and Winnie Worthington. She married H.M. Smith, Jr. September 4, 1944 in Bryan, Texas.

They moved to Andrews a few years after they were married. Mary was a care taker for many people in their homes and she loved to help others and care for them. She loved being a Mother and she was a great cook, seamstress and home maker. She was an Active member of First Baptist Church in Andrews, helping with the children's ministry and teaching Sunday school for many years. She always tried to encourage kids to get a good education.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.M. Smith, her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by, three daughters, Winnie Leone and husband Alton Keith of Rio Rancho, NM; Shirley and husband James Worley of Midland; and Martha L. McFadden of Raleigh, North Carolina; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.
