Graveside services for Lewis "Stick" Bostick, 85 of Matador will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 24, 2013 at East Mound Cemetery with Ricky Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday April 23, 2013 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Zapata Funeral Home of Matador.

Lewis was born on June 28, 1927 in Motley County to Green Berry Bostick and Ruth Lewis Bostick. Lewis grew up in Matador where he farmed and ranched for a living and at one time he drove a truck. He married Mildred Ann Roberts on July 19, 1947 in Hollis, Ok. From this union they had three children Larry, Steve, and Berry.

Lewis was a member of the Masonic Lodge 32nd Degree, he was on the city council, school board, the volunteer fire department, the American Legion, the VFW, and the Lions Club. He helped run the Motley County Livestock show for many years, and he was on the Motley Dickens County Old Settlers Reunion board. He also helped work the dances at the Old Settlers Reunion. Lewis was in the Navy at the end of WWII where he served on the Battleship Texas.

Lewis is survived by his children: Larry Bostick and wife Stephanie of Decatur, Illinois, Steve Bostick of Tulsa, Ok, and Berry Bostick of Matador.

Two sisters: Francis Reedy of Odessa, Texas and Ruby Anders of Norco, La

Four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
