Dan Morris Bevers, 72, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Polk Street United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Bill Wade, associate pastor, officiating. Committal services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in East Mound Cemetery in Matador with the Rev. Monte Wike, pastor of First Methodist Church in Matador, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.

Mr. Bevers was born in Wellington and had been a longtime Amarillo resident. He worked in sales and management in the automobile business. He also was the owner of a dealership.

He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a Mason and a member of the Khiva Temple. He also was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church.

Mr. Bevers married Aurene Jameson in 1947 at Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dana Wardell of Houston; a son, Malcolm Len Bevers of Austin; a brother, Denzel Bevers of Lubbock; and two granddaughters.
